Our History
Launched on May 2005 by original owners, Arnie Laoag, Ramel Oriel, and Jay Arr Raymundo, Mabuhay Calgary was envisioned as a newspaper that would be a voice for Calgary-Filipinos.
On May 2008, Mabuhay Calgary went on hiatus as its owners and volunteers decided to pursue other personal and professional endeavours.
In September 2009, Mabuhay Calgary returned under the leadership of Cherrie Crisostomo, the current publisher, for the newspaper. Maintaining its original mission and vision, the New Mabuhay Calgary has now grown to 5000 printed newspapers, circulated to 60 locations in the Calgary-Filipino community.
